This course will be delivered online on Zoom.

  • Please double-check that your address (including your Eircode) is correct so I can send you your Lámh book once you’ve completed the course.
  • Refunds or rescheduling are only available for cancellations made 3+ weeks in advance.

About This Course

This course is for staff members and professionals interested in learning Lámh. The course covers 100 Lámh signs and how to support a Lámh user.
If a Family Lámh course is unavailable, family members can also attend. However, please notify me when you book that you are a family member.

Qualifications Required: No previous Lámh training is required.

How does the Lámh Module One online course work?

The course has two parts. The first part involves about three hours of self-learning at your convenience on the Lámh eLearning course website, and the second part is a signing session with me via Zoom.

  1. After you purchase the course, you will receive a confirmation email.
  2. You will gain access to the self-training online Module 1 course about two weeks before the live signing session with me (via Zoom).
  3. You will receive your Lámh book after the live signing session.
  4. You must complete the online module before the date for your online Zoom training session with me (it will take you about 3 hours to complete this)
  5. Attend the signing practice training with me on Zoom.
  6. After completing the online self-learning part, the practical signing class with me and the evaluation step on your eLearning course page, you will receive your certification and signing book.

  • Module One Lámh signs (100+)
  • Alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
  • Lámh, brief history and development
  • Lámh signing environment

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Use the 100+ signs from the Module One Book
  • Use Lámh as an effective communication tool
  • Contribute to assessment or decision-making around Lámh use
  • Participate effectively in an established Lámh environment

Certification: Lámh Module One.
The course fee includes the Lámh Module One handbook, a sign book, a certificate, and access to Lámh signs online.
