Lámh Sign For QUICK

This video will teach you a sign you can use while playing fun games with all the children in the class. It is the sign for QUICK.

Quick/fast, and slow are some of the opposite words I teach to my students. I initially used pictures to teach these, but I quickly realised that it didn’t make too much sense for my students to learn these concepts from images, so I had to figure out a better way. 

It’s more fun and effective to teach quick and slow movements with music activities, or if you're up for it, race with your students to see how quickly they can run.

I also practice these concepts with parachute games. We shake the parachute quick and then slow. I can assure you that all children will love it, and you'll hear lots of giggles.

Remember to use Lámh signs or pictures so students with language delay can also participate in the games.
